Holi ka Dhahan has a great interesting background history.

Hiraranya Koshipu invaded India .Most probably he came from Mesopotamia. Mahendra Nath Dutta, the second brother of Swami Vivekananda explores this visiting Mesopotamia. He said that  Mesopotamia was ruled by the Assyrian people in ancient times. They were literate but Mesopotamia was a devil ( Asurya) civilization which was described in our mythology. Not only that they used the Indian name and culture. Mahendra Nath Dutta has seen stone scripture in Mesopotamia. As their nature and culture, Hiranya Koshipo declared himself as God. He banned all types of rituals and prayers to God.

Great Mind change

Prahalad opposed that ban.He was the son of Hirayanya Koshipo. The emperor tried to kill his son but failed. Holi, the sister of the emperor was experienced and knew how to enter into the fire without burning. Holi was directed to kill Prahalad by burning into the fire. She lit the fire and entered into the fire with Prahalad. But she was killed by fire but Prahalad  came out of  fire without any harm . People began to follow the day as a colour celebration. From the day of the prehistorical period, people have celebrated the day as a holi. It was the day of celebration against a dictator. It is the celebration of freedom.
