Contents and concepts of Hinduism

Hinduism has an universal appeal .

Sanatani and Sanatan dharma is Hindu dharma.

Hindu Dharma and Hindus never attacked or tortured any body in the name of religion . In 1980 ,forty two thousand Kasmiri Hindus were killed but the Kasmiri Hindus  did not   kill anybody in this time . No single evidence of this is available. 

 In 1947 the same thing happened to the Hindus . It does not mean that Hindus are timid and coward . In second world war they fight the German . They brought victory on behalf of alliance power .  They fought against Desert Fox ,  a German general  and bought victory in African Front .  British  Empire begin to fall after Indian Independence due to the lack of brave Indian Soldiers. Now  the question  arises, how have  the Hindus become so peaceful and tolerant?

Practice of Dharma makes the society tolerant.  Hinduism will give you an edge of self consciousness and self control . Relevant actionable suggestions are found in Hinduism. Guidance on creating helpful and unique suggestions are available in Hinduism

 Hinduism is a daily way of lifestyle and wellness International Society  for Krishna Consciousness is spreading an Ahimsa ideology. ISKON ,Hare Krishna  and Hare Rama movement is an Ahimsa spiritual movement.

 Pronounciation "OM" can connect us with  universes .Om is a sacred sound.Universe has the same  sound like Om.Hindu has a great  respect to that sound.Sound is Bhrama.It means  sounds  has an action and reaction the both.

A way of self control

   Few concept related to Hinduism are given below :

     Dharma and Dharma in short means moral , ethical  ,duties and values that can be achieved through practice.

    Karma means law of cause and effect .

    Yoga means spiritual and physical  discipline.

    Moksha means Liberation from the cycle of rebirth .

    Bhrama means ultimate reality or cosmic spirit .

    Atman means individual soul .

     Puja  means      ritual worship 

     Vedas mean  sacred  text . Four Vedas 

     Hindu Trinity : Bhrama , Vishunu and Shiva .

     Bhraman who knows the Bhrama . Knowledge and Wisdom embedded in him . 

 What are the  stages of life ?

 Bhramacharjaya  :  Student life started with self control practice including sex. It is the student  life .

 Garasthya           :   Marriage life . Time to collect wealth .

  Banaprastha       :    Leave the house giving all things to  the new generation . 

   Sannayas             :Leave shelter place till  death. 

 What is to attain in life  ? 

 Kam : Desire : Delimit your desire . Stop and control  the reckless desire . 

    Artha : Wealth  : Earn wealth . But not  in a dishonest way . Do not enjoy without sacrifice .

    Dharma  :    Moral and ethical values should be in lifestyle .

    Mosksha : liberation

Indian Philosophy is Hindu philosophy . 8Hindu philosophy is a quest for peace and tranquillity. It explores the inner state of mind.  Yoga and meditation explore this world .  Hinduism is not only a religion but a philosophy but not only a philosophy but a daily way of life . Practice of Hinduism is a practice of love and peace  Our Rishis  said to us," Jib  E Sib" . It means God lives  every where . God lives as an animal to man . He published himself in a multiple ways . 

       Where a Hindu goes to cut a tree for the need of  daily life, he prays to it  to forgive him.  Ayurveda asked him to do it. It is  a  great gratitude to nature . Nature nurtures us  . It is every one duty to maintain the balance of nature . Every society of the earth  must maintain the balance of environment and consider the  climate change.  Climate change is endangering the world .

        A Hindu pay tribute to nature. Human race is indebted to nature .The Ganges and other river is mother to Him . Rivers are maintaining us providing water. It is the part and parcel of life . Everyday people go to the Ganges to pay tribute . In the morning, he pays tribute to the  Sun for its  contribution   saying , " You are the source of great light and life.  You are the destroyer of all  pollution (sin)".  Without the help of nature a man cannot run a single hour. So why does he pay tribute to  nature ? 

           Vedas asked us to be nonviolent . A non violent man can create non violent society . Violence has  now gripped the world . Religious blindness  has put the world in conflict. Humanity has faced infinite dangers .  Children are learning how to kill people  of another faith . Such a conflict can initiate atomic war . War mongering people are using violent society as their tools . Their political leaders exploit their violent society  as their political power .  Their religious texts are boiling the situation . 

   Active   Lifestyle of self control  invites self consciousness . Self consciousness is  the practice of truth . Without practice of truth, you cannot achieve self consciousness and self esteem . The ancient wise man described  truth in the following way  :

        "Satyam Shibam Sundaram "

    Truth is  Shib or God,   Shib or God is Sundaram and beautiful .

   Truth is God and God  is beautiful. So  truth is beautiful. If you know the truth ,you will know  God . Truth will bring wellness and well being . 

  Yagayabulka, one of the greatest  Rishi,  was full of knowledge and wisdom . His knowledge sparked  India . Debate and conferencing was helpful to him . He has to establish himself  through  knowledge and wisdom  . He started a school  of thousands of students. He chanted a mantra still relevant  today after  five thousand years passed .  The Great verses as follows :

   Isabisyamidang sarvang yat kinchatang jagatyang jagat,

    Tena tektena vunjitha  ma gridha kashyasidhanam .

 Every thing you see  is  covered by God. Do not be greedy. Enjoy by sacrifice .  Do not consume more without sacrificing . Everything is not mine. We should follow his advice for peace . We should keep space for other in our lifestyle.

 To get the touch of truth is the ultimate goal of life . According to the Vedic  Rishi , Truth is God.  They described truth  through the following  verse.

Asato ma sad gamaya,

           Tamso ma Jyotir gamaya,

            Mrityur ma  mritam gamya

 Literal meaning of the verses ;

 Asato means untruth , Sad means truth, Tamasa means darkness, Jyotir means light. Mrityur means Death , Amritmay means God.

      We always used to chant the great verses in search of truth. Meaning  of the verses given  below. 

      Lead  And Reveal  to me the truth from untruth .

      Lead   And  Reveal  to me the light from darkness .

        Lead And Reveal  to me  the bliss of life  from  death .

         Mahatma Ghandhi  explained the verse in the following way :

     In the midst of  death , 

     the life persists.

 In the midst of untruth,

 the truth  persists.

        In the midst of darkness ,

         the light persists , 

 Hence God    ls  life

        Truth and light .

 The  light will unveil  the truth . Darkness  is veiling the truth . Removing the darkness ,we can enjoy the  truth . Life is a blessing. God published himself  in life , truth  and light  .  Truth is God . 

The following verse is a unique verse . Through this unique verse we pray to God to make everyone happy  and  healthy . No limit and no boundary , Hindu pray for the human race as a whole .

"Sarbe  Bhavantu  Sukhino , 

          Shorbe Shantu Niramaya 

          Sharbe Badrani Payonto

         Ma kachida dukhobhago vabet ".

It is used to chant not only in  religious celebrations but used as a general   celebration. It is popularly known as Shanti (Peace) Mantra. It is an universal prayer . It has  no boundary .   A Hindu prays to God for  the welfare to the mankind. His prayer is not only limited in the religious  boundary. He prays to God not only for Hindus but for all . He prays to God to make everyone happy and healthy . He also pray to God that everyone can enjoy the goods scenario . Hindu pray not only for him but for the mankind . 

 The following verses described the world as  one family . We are the relative .

 "  Ekeba Manushi Jati ", Other verse is " Basudva Kutambakam " 

 First verses described human race as a one nation .The other verses described   human race as a combination of relatives. So why does Modi , the prime minister of India , always describe the world as   one family . Family connectivity can empower us to feel good  and to remain  peaceful .

 Another great verses have  written five thousand years ago .

 The verses are given below : 

 "Samni  ba akutiha samana hridayani baha ,

  Samanmastu bou mono yatha bou susahati, 

  Samani propa saha bounnabhaga ,

  Samne youcrow saha bou unisom,

  Araha navimibavita ",

 It has a great meaning . Everyone has an equal right in nature including foods and water. Lifestyle should be based on cooperation and support of others . Interaction and participation of the people can make our society stronger and responsive .Interconnected society can make our life easier . 

In " Narad Smriti and Dharma Kosh " the duty of a king described as follows :

 King will protect everybody whether he believes  in Vedas or not . It was a guideline to the king to rule a state .

Another verses of Sankaracharjya that influenced the Hindu Society are given below:

 "Akashat Patitang Toang Yatha Ghachti Sagaram,

 Sarvadeva Namaskaram Kshabang Prati Ghachati" .

 It means  rain falls  anywhere  from  the sky  goes to the ocean . If anyone salute anywhere in the name of God , it goes to Him  

 Another verse is Atmanang Bridhi means self realisation and self consciousness  . It instructs us to know ourselves . Without knowing ourselves how will we know Him ? It is a course of action . .

 Thousands of  great verses  of Hinduism are explaining different aspects of life. These verses have  also   a great literal and spiritual meaning . Logic and philosophy make them great. No narrow corridor in Hinduism .

 Dharma and religion are not the same thing . Dharma is not religion and its a more than religion . Religion is a discipline and method of  worshipping . There is no English word to explain Dharma . It is a Sanskrit word . 

What is  religion ?

 No answer is given to that . So deviation is high . Abrahimic religion has not given any explanation or definition of that . It is like  discussion of a subject  without knowing its boundary  like political science , chemistry and physics . In this case , it may happen to  a teacher of a  political  science discussing about physics in his class . 

 What is Dharma  ?

  Dharma is the base of life. Everybody respect who follows the path of Dharma . It empower to destroy  negative thinking and way of sin .  Dharma  means some practices  which can  enlighten  ourselves .  Dharma includes the following practices. In Sanskrit, Yama the word is used to describe practice . Practice  to restrain and control ourselves . Self control is  above all control .  This will give birth to spirituality in your life . Practices are given below :

  * Ahimsa  or nonviolent . You cannot be nonviolent in one day . You have to practice for that .  Nonviolent is a state of mind .  You have to control anger, greediness  and reckless ambition .  As a practise you have to eat  a non violent plate .

Astyea Or non stealing . Do not take other goods without his knowledge . 

Satya or truth   .  Follow the way of truth . Do not tell a lie . 

 Bhramcharya or Practice of self control . It is the divine way of life  .  Do not attached yourself  to sensory  pleasures including sex . 

 Aparigraha  or do not be interested to take the possession of other properties .

   Soucham  means mentally you would be sacred . Always perform the sacred work .

 All are in combination called dharma .  If you practice all those , spirituality will grow in you .   These rules will correct our personal  and social life . Those who live beyond the area are  non religious   or Adharmic .

 Upanishad told us to follow the following things and  Five thousand years ago Yagyabulk  included  these in the school syllabus .

 Satyam Bada Dharmas Chara,

  Shadyan Ma Prama Da ,

  Satyanan Pramidityabayas,

  Dharmanan Pramidityabyam,

  Kushalan na Pradityabyam ,

 Bhutai na Prama dityabyam .

 Sadya Prabachanavyam Pradityabyam ,

 Abumupasitambyam Abumuchait dupasyam . Meaning : Always speak the truth , lead yourselves to the way of Dharma. Learn  how to get  education  and wisdom. Try to go forward .  Always follow the way  of  an honest lifestyle .  Lead other to be industrious .  Follow the way of   an honest lifestyle  and  be creative .

 

    Hinduism has   universal appeal . It crossed all geographical boundaries . Not limited in a community , caste and creed . Hindu society is a tolerant society of thousands year.

 Lakh  scriptures and books are there. The name of the  main books are given below :

  Vedas :    Rikvedas , Jajur veda, Attharveda , Shyam Vedas, Gita.

      Ranayana, Mahabharat etc.

 Different way of  Praying to God : According to Vedas, In accordance  to Bhaktibad, In accordance to Trantik . Jainism , Shikism etc . They live together denying others .
